'Best large attraction' award goes to The North Norfolk Railway

The North Norfolk Railway has been voted the best 'large attraction' in Norfolk and Suffolk.

The railway was recognised for its contribution to the tourism industry as part of the EDP Hoseasons Tourism Awards.

It has invested under a million pounds over two years on projects to improve tourism such as a new tourist information centre and shop in Sheringham station.

The award recognised the work of the 'very friendly' Railway staff and volunteers.

166,000 passengers use the Railway each year with many more just visiting the stations and museum.
