Scientists are trying to find out what caused a whale to wash-up on a Norfolk beach yesterday (October, 20) afternoon.

The 40-foot cetacean, believed to be a fin whale, was found dead on the shore between Burnham Overy and Holkham. It has now drifted to nearby Gun Hill with the tides.

Owners of the Holkham estate have set up a cordon to stop onlookers getting too close.
