Mother claims her two-year-old is treated like a ‘modern day leper’ because of his eczema

A mother from Newport Pagnell, near Milton Keynes, is concerned her two-year-old son is being treated like a 'modern day leper' because he has severe eczema.

Danielle Allen says her little boy Roman is regularly shunned by parents and children who fear his skin condition may be contagious.

Roman was diagnosed with eczema when he was six months old.

He's also allergic to dust mites, pollen and animal hair which irritates the condition.

Roman's father Brett says he gets angry and upset by people's comments.

He say's he's up most of the night bathing his son's skin and applying creams and simply trying to keep him comfortable.

Danielle and Brett are now trying promote greater understanding of eczema.

They say that their son's skin might look a bit different, but they hope others will learn to see past it.
