Teenage boy admits murdering Spalding mother and daughter
A 15-year-old boy has admitted stabbing to death a mother and her daughter at their home in Spalding.
The bodies of 49-year-old dinner lady Elizabeth Edwards and her 13-year-old daughter Katie were found at their home in Dawson Avenue in April.
A 15-year-old girl is also on trial at Nottingham Crown Court, she admits manslaughter but denies murder.
The court heard how the two teenagers, who were 14 at the time, watched videos after killing the mother and daughter as they slept.
The teenagers cannot be named for legal reasons.
Sergeant Christopher Fletcher and his colleagues smashed their way into the house.
They found the blood-covered and partially clothed body of local dinner lady Ms Edwards upstairs.
The jury heard both Ms Edwards and her daughter had been stabbed through the throat in their beds at their home.
The bodies were found by police about 36 hours after the killings.
Both teenagers were arrested a short time after officers found the bodies.
