Suffolk Police are urging football fans ahead of the Derby this weekend to get to Portman Road early.

Almost 2000 Norwich City fans expected to travel into Ipswich on Sunday for the match. Police are encouraging both sets of fans to arrive at the ground early. Turnstiles and stadium bars will be open from 10:30am with kick-off at noon.

Supporters are reminded that due to the high number of away supporters travelling by coach, access to Portman Road will be restricted before and after during the match.

These will be in place from 8am and will remain in place for a short while after the game has ended. The pedestrian access from Cardinal Park to Princes Street known as ‘Sedan Walk’ will also be temporarily closed.

A special football train service will be running between Norwich and Ipswich. It will leave from Norwich at 1050 and will depart from Ipswich at 1435. Further information is available at www.abelliogreateranglia.co.uk
