Region's athletes make Olympic history overnight in Rio

It was an historic weekend at the Olympics in Rio with three of our region's competitors winning medals.

Hertfordshire's Max Whitlock became the first British athlete to win an Olympic gold in gymnastics. First in the men's floor and then in the pommel horse. Peterborough's Louis Smith took silver.

And Huntingdon's Giles Scott sailed to victory to win his first ever Olympic gold medal.
