World's largest aircraft leaves its Bedfordshire hangar for the first time
The world's largest aircraft emerged from its hangar in Bedfordshire for the first time earlier this morning.
Based at Cardington Airfield, The Airlander 10 is part-airship, part-aeroplane and is a whopping 302ft long (92m).
It had around 20ft of space as it passed the hangar doors at 4am on its short journey to a special mooring place on the airfield for further tests.
The aircraft, which was christened the Martha Gwyn back in April, will take to the skies in the near future.
When it does eventually take-off, it will be able to stay airborne for around five days during manned flights.
