"He was a bit of a loner" Neighbours describe the killer Edward Tenniswood

A middle-aged predatory fantasist raped and murdered a vulnerable young woman he had taken advantage of outside a Northampton nightclub.

Edward Tenniswood was jailed for at least 30 years today for killing India Chipchase who at 20 was less than half his age.

After finding her in a drunken state Tenniswood had promised to get her home safely. Instead he lured her back to his squalid house in Stanley Road.

After the sentencing police revealed unveiled images of the inside of Tenniswood's house.

Neighbours described him as a "loner."
