Thousands of scouts and guides spend a week in Essex for the international jamboree

10,000 scouts and guides from across Europe (and one from Kenya!) are spending a week in a field in Boyton Cross outside Chelmsford singing songs and taking part in 100 different activities.

It's the largest Scout and Girlguiding event in Europe this year and is effectively creating a new, temporary town for seven nights.

The jamboree is supported by more than 1500 adult volunteers and continues until 6th August
