RAF Marham attempted abduction suspect 'may have been given a black eye'
One of the men suspected of trying to kidnap a serviceman at RAF Marham in Norfolk last week might have been given a black eye in the attack according to police.
The serviceman was out jogging last Wednesday when two men of "Middle Eastern appearance" approached him.
The victim managed to headbutt one of the men in the scuffle and officers think it would have left him with bruising around his eye.
"He (the serviceman) did headbutt one of the people who attacked him last week," Assistant Chief Constable Nick Dean told ITV News Anglia.
"If anyone has got any information around someone who has got that sort of facial injury, who meets that description of the suspects we sent out last week, then we urge them to come forward."
Detectives revealed over the weekend that they believe the men were working as part of a "larger team".
What did the suspects look like?
Suspect 1 is described as between 20 and 30 years old, approximately 6ft tall, of athletic but stocky build, with dark hair which was long on top and had a well-groomed beard. He was of Middle Eastern origin in appearance with a dark skin tone and wore dark casual clothing.
Suspect 2 is described as between 20-30 years old but younger than the first suspect and of a slimmer build. He was approximately 5ft 10, clean shaven with short dark hair. He was also of Middle Eastern origin in appearance and wore a white t-shirt and dark shorts.
