Essex woman describes how she hid from lorry as Nice attack unfolded
A women from Essex who was caught up in the terrorist attack in Nice with her sister says she's lucky to still be alive.
Valerie Morris-Cook from Essex and Hilary Cook from Norwich had just finished dinner on the the Promenade des Anglais when the attack happened.
Staff took them to their kitchens underground which were locked down for safety.
It's been confirmed that 84 people, including several children, were killed while many others are critically ill in hospital.
Despite the devastation, Valerie is remaining defiant and says she doesn't intend to fly back to the UK in the near future.
"We're not coming home. We're not going to give in," she told ITV News Anglia.
"We both feel very numb but we also feel very fortunate that we're here today in one piece. So many aren't."
