An exhausted pony who'd become stuck in 3ft of water in a stream near Chequer Street in Fenstanton, Cambridgeshire has been rescued by the RSPCA and the fire service.

RSPCA Inspector Jon Knight called the fire service to help with the rescue.

A local farmer also helped with a digger to create a sloping channel in the bank of the stream to lead the pony out safely.
