Thousands of swimmers have taken to the waters in Suffolk for the Great East Swim
Two thousand people squeezed into wetsuits, donned goggles and took the plunge at the Great East Swim in Alton Water, near Ipswich, today. Including a team from ITV Anglia who challenged a team from BBC Look East to a race.

Swimmers, young and old, chose to swim either half a mile, a mile, two miles or 10 kilometres. And there was a special race for children too.
Most people were raising money for well known charities. And as for the ITV and BBC race - we'll have to wait to confirm our times to know who won!
