Parent protests fail to prevent Northamptonshire children's centre closures
The closure of eight children's centres in Northamptonshire has been rubber stamped - despite hundreds of objections and protests by parents.
The county council plans to shut centres in Northampton, Wellingborough and Kettering as part of a bid to save £3m from its budget.
A further 13 will be relocated to nearby libraries.
Families at a children's centre in Corby said it was was those most in need who would pay the price of the latest cuts.
And they fear it will be the children who will suffer the most.
But on Tuesday afternoon Northampton County Council's cabinet met and voted for the cuts to go ahead.
