It’s a staple for many breakfast tables.

But now the pot of marmalade has been taken to award-winning levels by woman in Norfolk.

Alison Barwick from Loddon produces 15 different flavours.

It’s so good, she’s just picked up bronze, silver and gold medals at the World Original Marmalade awards.

Ali started cooking up batches in her kitchen. It proved so popular with family and friends, she went on to develop a business producing preserves for sale.

In a few weeks, Alison will be moving to a purpose built kitchen at Loddon Business Centre.

With the support of the locals, Ali hopes her brand to continue producing jams and marmalades.

Many say they prefer the homemade treat, to the national brands.
