The latest plans that hope to cement Norfolk's place as a renewable energy hub
A Swedish energy company has announced plans to push ahead with the creation of Norfolk's largest offshore windfarm.
The 1.8GW development, called Norfolk Vanguard, would be built 47km off the coast at Winterton Ness.
Energy firm Vattenfall says it would create jobs for the county as well as other opportunities for Norfolk businesses.
Vattenfall said Norfolk Vanguard would have the potential to generate enough energy for more than 1.3 million UK homes each year.
The development of a second windfarm called Norfolk Boreas - which would be the same size - is also due to start in 2017.
Both project names are a nod to Norfolk's seafaring heritage. Vanguard and Voreas were both vessels commanded by Lord Nelson.
