New regiment at Robertson Barracks trains vehicles on former RAF base
In the six months since the Welsh Cavalry moved to Norfolk they've trained on new vehicles and integrated into the community
The Queen's Dragoon Guards, more commonly known as the Welsh Cavalry, say they've been made to feel very welcome in Norfolk since moving into Robertson barracks at Swanton Morley.
The regiment replaced the Light Dragoons in June 2015 and re-located to Norfolk after more than a decade in Germany.
The troops are using the Thetford training areas and the former RAF base at Sculthorpe to train on their new Coyote six-wheeled armoured vehicles and will continue as a reconnaissance unit.
