Cobblers saved one day before going into administration
After weeks of takeover talks, this afternoon former Oxford United Chairman Kelvin Thomas completed his takeover of the Cobblers.
It comes just one day before Northampton Town were due to go into administration.
It follows months of wrangling that came to a head when police announced they were investigating financial irregularities at the club. HMRC were also demanding tax debts be paid.
Now in an interview with ITV News Anglia, Mr Thomas said he has already paid back money owed to the taxman and his next priority was to get the staff what they were due, as Sarah Cooper reports.
