South Essex gymnast Brinn Bevan is facing months on the sidelines after breaking his leg in two places in training.

The eighteen year old - a teammate of World pommel-horse champion Max Whitlock - revelaed to followers on social media that he was constantly in tears since the accident happened on Saturday.

Bevan also posted an x-ray of his injury on Instagram. He's undergone surgery and says he'll come back even stronger.

The injury comes barely a month after Bevan made his senior international debut at the World Championships in Glasgow. He helped Britain create history by claiming silver for the first time in the Men's Team event.
