People living in Ipswich are among the most satisfied in the country according to a new survey.

A poll by the property website 'Rightmove' ranked the town as the third happiest place to live in the land, with factors like feeling safe in the community and friendliness of neighbours taken into account.

In fact, only Harrogate in Yorkshire and Shrewsbury in Shropshire could claim to be more content with their lot.

Cambridge was ranked 34th, Norwich 37th and Peterborough 93rd in the survey.
