Wife of injured speedway star tweets her thanks for support
The wife of Lewis Kerr has tweeted to say thanks for all the support she's received from the speedway world following her husband's horrific crash in a meeting at Peterborough yesterday.
Lewis's wife Jessie asked people to pray for her husband following the crash which has left him with serious head injuries.
Jessie, who is pregnant was at the stadium and witnessed the crash, along with other members of Lewis's family.
Lewis was riding for the Newcastle Diamonds, where he's on loan.
Top speedway riders have also tweeted their support, including Tai Woffinden.
Tonight's Elite League speedway fixture between Wolverhampton and King's Lynn will go ahead despite the sickening injury.

He discovered Lewis Kerr as an up-and-coming speedway rider graduating from moto cross. "He's a brilliant rider; very dedicated and very popular." said Dale. "He has a great fighting spirit and that will serve him well just now."The meeting was abandoned following yesterday's crash. It was witnessed by Lewis's parents and his wife Jessie who's five months pregnant. She's urged people to keep him in their thoughts and prayers.
