When Suffolk shepherd, Ed Hawkins, was approached by a production company to teach his sheep herding skills to a group of celebrities, he jumped at the chance. Even though it coincided with his busiest time of year, lambing.

Ed and his two collies, Max and Midge, spent seven weeks on a farm near London working with the likes of Tony Blackburn, Wendi Peters and Brenden Cole for the new series, Flockstars, which starts on ITV tonight.

Ed taught the celebrities how to use the commands 'come bye' and 'walk on' and admits that some of them struggled to emulate his Suffolk accent.
