The old adage says that you can wait ages for a bus, and then two turn up at once and that certainly applied to Norwich City yesterday with a couple of new signings finally joining the club after a summer of frustration in the transfer market.

The Canaries' pursuit of Hull City winger Robbie Brady had fast descended into a saga after multiple bids were rejected, but they eventually got their man courtesy of a £7 million bid.

Just hours after Brady had walked through the gates at Carrow Road, Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom was following suit - joining on a season-long loan deal.

Both players should add depth and quality to Alex Neil's squad as they prepare to compete in the Premier League again after a year's absence.

Here's some facts about Norwich City's latest arrivals...

Andre Wisdom

  • Wisdom is no stranger to Carrow Road. He made his Premier League debut for Liverpool against the Canaries at Norwich City's home ground in September 2012.

  • Wisdom's talent was spotted by Liverpool at a young age. They signed him from Bradford City when he was just 14.

  • Wisdom has captained England at various youth levels, including the under-21s.

  • Wisdom scored on his Liverpool debut, netting in a 5-3 win over Swiss side BSC Young Boys in the Europa League in 2012.

  • Amazingly, Wisdom was once forced to abandon his £100,000 Porsche after it got stuck in a muddy ditch in Derbyshire. He had got lost trying to find Derby County's iPro stadium where he was on loan at the time.
