Organisers of Lowestoft's first ever summer festival are hailing it a success after hundreds of people visited the seaside town during the four day event.

Lowestoft has lost its air show and carnival in recent years and the group "Lowestoft Rising' and Lowestoft BID wanted to bring back some community events and spirit.

One of the highlights has been the pop-up velodrome in the town centre where cyclists, young and old, competed to be fastest around the track. The Lowestoft Rotary and Lions clubs also helped organise sandcastle competitions, a fancy dress parade and a number of other activities.
