Cambridge sixth formers accused of Auschwitz thefts
Two sixth formers from Cambridge have been accused of taking artefacts that once belonged to Auschwitz-Birkenau prisoners.
The 17-year-old boys, who are at the private Perse School were on a school history trip to the site of the infamous Nazi death camp. They've been charged with possession of an artefact of cultural significance.
The museum say the boys were spotted yesterday afternoon acting suspiciously close to a building where Nazi guards kept possessions taken from prisoners.
They could face up to 10 years in prison if found guilty.
The school have confirmed the students have been charged, adding they are co-operating fully with the Polish authorities.
