Women's Cycling Tour: Day Two
Some of the world's top cyclists returned to their bikes today for Day 2 of the Women's Cycling Tour, which this time took place in Essex.
The 86 mile heat this time started in Braintree and finished along the Marine Parade in Clacton.
Sixteen teams were competing but cyclist Lizzie Armistead pulled out of the race and flew home after she was involved in a crash as she crossed the finish line in Aldeburgh in Suffolk yesterday.
Jolien D’Hoore from Belgium sprinted to victory in Clacton to move within one second of the race leader Lisa Brennauer, who today won the yellow sprint jersey.
