Armed police stood down after Norwich siege arrest
Armed police have been stood down after a siege in Norwich ended safely and a man was arrested.
Armed police were called to Great Eastern Court near Norwich station at around 9.30am.
Norfolk Police have confirmed the incident was resolved safely.
A man in his 40s has been arrested and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
A police spokesman said: "Public safety is paramount and throughout the incident there were no indications of a wider risk to the community.”
