Car gets wedged at exact 90 degree angle between barriers after hitting lorry

A driver got into a spot of trouble on the A1139 near Peterborough in Cambridgeshire yesterday when his car got stuck at an exact 90 degree angle between two barriers.

The Vauxhall Zafira hit a lorry, which sent it spinning towards a roadworks section where it eventually came to a halt.

No one was injured in the incident.

The road was blocked for several hours before the car was pulled free by a recovery truck.
