Watch: McBusted perform emotional tribute to friend Lil' Chris

McBusted played the song in tribute to Lil' Chris.

Pop band McBusted played an emotional rendition of The Beastie Boys song '(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right' in honour of their friend Lil' Chris last night.

The singer from Lowestoft was found dead in the town on Monday morning. He was only 24.

Officers are not treating the death as suspicious.

Lil' Chris', real name Chris Hardman, starred in the Channel 4 series 'Rock School' in 2006 when he was just 15.

McBusted decided to perform the track in memory of Lil' Chris because the star used to support their former band McFly.

He would often join them on stage when they played '(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right'.

Lead singer Tom Fletcher told the crowd in Sheffield:

"We received some sad news today, that a friend of ours has sadly passed away.

"He was a lovely guy and a good friend."

The footage was filmed by McBusted fan Stacey Dickens.
