Braintree Town boss Devonshire: "We let the club down"

Braintree Town manager Alan Devonshire had some harsh words to say about his team's performance against Chesterfield in the FA Cup, after they were thrashed 6-0 by their League One opponents.

The Conference side had come into the game dreaming of causing an upset, but Chesterfield were far too good and ran out comfortable winners.

An own goal from Remy Clerima summed up Braintree's afternoon, and Devonshire says that the Iron failed to give a good account of themselves.

There were no such problems for Braintree's Essex neighbours Colchester United who breezed past non-league side Gosport Borough.
