MK Dons manager Karl Robinson insists his team will learn from their Capital One League Cup defeat against Sheffield United, adding 'We will get better.".

Two late goals from United substitute Michael Higdon swung the tie away from the Dons , who led through a Benik Afobe penalty midway through the second half.

Afobe's spot-kick, scored after England Under 19 star Dele Alli was felled in the area by Craig Alcock, came shortly after a double substitution made by Robinson.

The arrival of Will Grigg, who scored twice in the Dons' famous 2nd Round win over Manchester United, and Daniel Powell seemed to spur the Dons on, but they failed to capitalise after going ahead.

And two corners from the left hand side of the field led to both United's goals. First a cross from Jose Baxter was met by Higdon's head three minutes from time. And in the third minute of stoppage time Higdon was at the far post to rifle in from close range.
