Poisoned dog given a new lease of life after being fitted with two prosthetic legs
Tara is a new, bouncy, bionic dog.
Her wagging tail says it all - Tara's so happy these days she almost looks like she's smiling.
But she's a dog that by all accounts should be dead.
Rat poison was put down to destroy her pack where they were living in the grounds of a Romanian Hospital .
Tara was close to death. Vets saved her life by amputating her front legs.
Her heartbreaking story reached the ears of Kelly Hare from Great Yarmouth, who already had a reputation for saving dogs in desperate circumstances through her charity 'Safe Rescue for Dogs'.
She brought four-year-old Tara to Britain and the charity's supporters raised the £3,000 needed for new prosthetic legs.
And when she isn't running them ragged, she gets a lift home in an old pushchair.
Even bionic dogs get dog-tired.
