Bank refuse to refund scam victim

A businesswoman from Ampthill in Bedfordshire has been told by her bank that they won't reimburse her for the money she lost to a phone scam because she brought it on herself.

Ann Ferguson received a call supposedly from her bank saying her account had been hacked.

She rang Santander back to make sure the call was genuine....unaware the scammers had left the line open and she was still talking to them..

During conversations with several people she revealed her pin number piecemeal until they had all of it.
