The body of Amina Agboola now lies in the parish graveyard near her home in Yaxley.

Today the man who murdered her, 20-year-old Dean Harris, was jailed for life.

He was the new boyfriend of Amina's mother, and he'd been left to look after the 2-year-old at their house in Scott Drive.

He lashed out in anger after she apparently soiled herself - kicking her so hard that it caused a fatal injury.

It was equivalent to being hit by a car.

Cambridge Crown Court heard social services had warned her mother, Sarah Racqueman, not to leave Harris alone with Amina.

At an earlier hearing she was cleared of causing or allowing Amina's death but admitted two charges of neglecting other children.

She was given an 11 month suspended sentence.

Judge Mark Lucraft QC said a doctor's report had stated that Harris poseda significant risk of causing serious harm to children he was left withunsupervised.

Dean Harris will serve a minimum term of 17 years for ending Amina Agboola's life at just the age of two.
