"A good outcome to what could have been a catastrophe": Relief as children escape Norfolk bus crash unharmed

Children from William Westley Primary in Whittlesford have been arriving back at school after their coach overturned in Norfolk this morning.

42 children from the school were on board a coach that overturned into a ditch on the A10 at Hilgay earlier.

The children were on their way to a school trip in Hunstanton when the incident happened.

The vehicle was one of five coaches heading to the seaside.

Remarkably, no passengers were hurt and the driver only sustained minor injuries.

The coaches were from Royston-based company Richmond's.

The trip was called off and the children returned back to school.

Diversions have been set up in the local area.
