I'm a Celebrity's Joey Essex: 'A funny kid, with a big heart'

It is the furthest he has ever been from Essex but for now the Australian jungle is where Joey Essex calls home.

He has swapped The Only Way is Essex for I'm a Celebrity but he has had to prove himself early on with the first bush tucker trial against Matthew Wright.

Back in Chigwell in Essex, Joey's dad Donald says he is really proud.

Some critics have dubbed Joey "sweet but dim" after he admitted he could not tell the time on the show, but he is still a hit in Brentwood where he shot to fame in The Only Way is Essex.

Joey's Dad, Donald, and his girlfriend Sasha will be flying out to Australia this Saturday and they are convinced they will be returning with Joey crowned as King of the Jungle.
