Zoo's rare arrival

A rare albino wallaby has been born at Lindon Zoo in Cambridgeshire.

Red-necked wallabies are usually grey-brown in colour but on rare occasions a white or albino is born.

It's the first time an albino wallaby has been born at Linton Zoo and the new arrival was a surprise for keepers when it popped its head out of the pouch for the first time.

Although it is still snuggled up it seems appropriate for a white wallaby to have emerged for the first time during the snowy weather.

Keepers have yet to decide on a name for the new arrival but they say Snowy, Snow Flake or Frosty may be top of their list.
