RSPB urging us to feed our garden birds

While we're all slipping and sliding around and trying to keep warm in this weather - spare a thought for garden birds struggling to find food in the snow.

The RSPB is based at Sandy in Bedfordshire. It's encouraging people to help birds to survive the winter - by putting out plenty of food and providing a fresh source of fresh water.

The RSPB is encouraging people to take part in its annual Big Garden Birdwatch. The idea is to sign up and spend one hour noting the birds you see.
