Four arrested after party death released on bail
Four people arrested in connection with the murder of teenager in Essex have been released on bail until the 19th of December.
17-year-old Jay Whiston from Clacton was stabbed at a house party on Marlowe Way in Colchester on Saturday the 8th of September. He died in hospital a short time later.
On Thursday the 15th of November detectives arrested two men, aged 51 and 18, and one 42-year-old woman, all from the Colchester area. They also arrested a 17-year-old girl from Clacton.
Senior Investigating Officer, DCI Simon Parkes, said: "This is very much a live investigation where we continue to benefit from the support of the public. We remain convinced that there are people who have yet to contact us; who know what happened and are protecting those responsible. It is those people we would appeal to come forward."
Five other people from Colchester are currently on police bail until Thursday the 22nd of November after having also been arrested in connection with the murder investigation.
