Singer Dane Bowers to face race assault trial
Dane Bowers is to stand trial later this year accused of racially-aggravated assault in Norwich city centre.
The 32-year-old singer and former Big Brother star denied two counts of assault on separate victims and one of harassment - all allegedly racially aggravated - at Norwich Crown Court after an incident while he was attending a stag party.
Today Bowers was told he will face trial by jury on November 21.
The alleged incident happened in Norwich's Prince of Wales Road nightclub district at 5am on June 2. It is understood Bowers had been enjoying a night out with friends.
The singer, now a DJ, rose to fame with boy band Another Level in the 1990s. He appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2010. He dated glamour model Katie Price.
