Essex Police prepare for busy weekend with EDL demonstration and V Festival

Police in Essex are warning that the Chelmsford area will be particularly busy tomorrow with two protests AND a major music festival amongst other events.

The English Defence League, seen here at a protest in Luton in May, has said it will gather for a rally around lunchtime. A counter demonstration is also expected.

Also... 170,000 people are expected for this year's V Festival at Hylands Park in Chelmsford.

The weekend's line-up includes The Killers, The Stone Roses and Essex's Olly Murs. Thousands of campers will be arriving today.

Police are warning they're taking a zero tolerance approach towards drug use at the festival.
