Norwich boss expects more new faces
Norwich City boss Chris Hughton expects to further strengthen the squad ahead of the new season.
The club finished 12th in the Premier League under former boss Paul Lambert, and Hughton is determined to build on Lambert's work.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5Live he said:
Since Hughton took charge of the Canaries he has moved to quickly to sign Player of the Season Grant Holt to a new three-year deal and has tied goalkeeper John Ruddy, Russell Martin and Andrew Surman to new deals.
The City stalwarts have also been joined by England Under-21 international Jacob Butterfield from Barnsley, as well as ex-Rangers defender Steven Whittaker, although that deal has yet to be formally given international clearance by the Scottish Football Association. Norwich have been linked with Burnley captain Chris McCann as well as Birmingham defender Curtis Davies.
The Carrow Road club are preparing for their first pre-season test against German side Hertha Berlin in a fortnight. They also have games lined up against Celtic, Ajax and Borussia Monchengladbach before the new Barclays Premier League gets under way at Fulham on August 18.
