F1 British Grand Prix gets underway

Force India driver Paul Di Resta was an early casualty in the British Grand Prix which got underway at Silverstone this afternoon.

Di Resta spun off into the opening lap after suffering what appeared to be a puncture.

There was drama for the Norfolk based Caterham team with Vitaly Petrov's car unable to make the starting grid.

Ferrari's Fernando Alonso, who leads the drivers' championship, is the race leader after 15 laps having started in pole position.
