Man named after Millbrook Proving Ground fatal crash

A 47-year-old man who died following a collision at Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire on Tuesday has been named.

David Allan, from Twincham Road, Swindon, died from a severe head injury, an inquest heard at Bedford Coroner's office.

The crash happened just after 11.30am at the Alpine Circuit test track near the village of Marston Mortaine.

Mr Allan had been driving a car carrying four passengers when the collision occurred. No other vehicle was involved.He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The passengers, three men and one woman, were taken to Bedford Hospital with various injuries, which are not life threatening.
