The skies above Cambridgeshire were filled with historic planes this afternoon as the annual Flying Legends air show got underway at the Imperial War Museum Duxford.

Up to 30,000 people are expected to attend the event which takes place today and tomorrow. There have been displays from aircraft dating back to the First and Second World Wars.

There was also live music and dancing to help take people back in time. But it was the air displays that made the biggest impression this afternoon. One visitor told us: "They're classic aircraft and you don't get a collection like this anywhere. So it's just lovely to see them and hear them."
