Grandfather the hero after asthma attack
A grandfather from Bedford is being hailed a hero after reviving his granddaughter when she stopped breathing following an asthma attack.
Reg Carpenter has always enjoyed a special relationship with his grandchildren but now they couldn't be closer. On Friday he saved the life of his 4-year-old granddaughter Charlotte.
He was driving her to hospital with his daughter Caroline when she collapsed from a severe asthma attack.
Charlotte is now back home and the picture of health. Mum Caroline is lost for words about her dad's live saving action. Her and Reg didn't get a chance to find out the names of the strangers that helped them last Friday. They're now hoping they can be reunited to say thanks in person.
