Cooking for the Queen
Pupils at a school in Northamptonshire are off to Buckingham Palace after winning a competition to cook lunch for the Queen.
Pupils at Latimer Arts College in Kettering have created original recipes for the Jubilee event, which include Elizabeth Fans and Diamond Slippers.
They came top of the class for making good use of local produce.
The competition was the idea of The Duchess of Cornwall as her special tribute to The Queen in Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee year.
The children were challenged as part of British Food Fortnight. It's an annual celebration of British food and regionally distinct produce. The organisers run workshops in schools to encourage young people to develop an awareness of where their food comes from and the confidence and skills to cook for themselves.
