Thousands enjoy Queen's garden party
Thousands of people who have been recognised for their work in the community have enjoyed a special event at Sandringham hosted by the Queen.
The Queen arrived at the Royal Estate in Sandringham, Norfolk, at 3.45 and spent more than 40 minutes speaking to some of the 4,000 guests.
She was accompanied by the Duke of York because Prince Philip is still recovering from a bladder infection.
The Queen held the Diamond Jubilee garden party to thank residents from Norfolk and Suffolk for contributing to community life.
The last time a garden party was held at Sandringham was in 2002 to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
Guests were treated to music performed by local orchestras and food by a local catering company.
