Boy killed in Kettering fire

A seven-year-old boy has died after a house fire in Northamptonshire.

Fire crews were called to a terraced house on Edinburgh Road in Kettering just after 7am.

Three adults and two children, aged seven and two, were in the house when the fire was discovered in a ground-floor room.

All were taken to Kettering General Hospital suffering from smoke inhalation. Investigations into the cause of the fire are taking place but early indications suggest that it was not suspicious.
