Man dies after crash in Billericay
One man has died and three men have been injured after a car they were travelling in crashed and overturned in Billericay last night.
The crash took place on Western Avenue just before 2am, Friday, 20 April.
The car, which was carrying four young men in their late teens and early twenties, crashed into a garden wall, narrowly missing a lamppost.
One eye-witness, who didn't want to be named, said he was woken by a loud bang, which sounded like his roof had fallen in.
He said he immediately called the fire service and then managed to pull one of the young men out from the car before they arrived several minutes later.
Firefighters used cutting equipment to release the other passengers.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident to either call the Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101 or email collisionappeal@essex.pnn.police.uk
